We're spending the next few nights at Hutton Hotel, which is my new favorite hotel. We had an overwhelming number of people recommend this spot (thank you!) and we are definitely enjoying it so far. We also hit up several vintage shops you mentioned and ate delicious food at Loveless Cafe and Burger Up. You all have given us amazing tips, so if any of you have any other gems to share, we're all ears.
I'll post more of our full outfits later, but in the meantime I just wanted to drop by and say thanks for helping us plan out this trip. We want to make the most of our short stay and so far, it has been great. It also doesn't hurt that we're in amazing company.

How exciting you're in Nashville! That's where I live :o)
ReplyDeleteBurger Up is my favorite. I also love PM for sushi!

A fun place to get drinks is Holland House in East Nashville...there are also really great restaurants over there as well! Margots and The Wild Cow are two places off the top of my head. Hope you guys have fun :)
ReplyDeleteLove both your outfits, especially Kim's dress! So very cute! Hope you guys are having a great time on your trip!

love your scarf! have so much fun in nashville. :)
ReplyDeleteTry and get to Gabby's Burgers. The place is a tad hard to find because it's so small, but trust me, they have AMAZING food. It's pretty cheap too. Also, check out Da Vinci's pizza. It looks like you two are pretty close to that one. Have a great trip, and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHi Keiko and Kim! Hope you're having a great time here in Nashville! I second the suggestion of Margot- not sure how long you're staying but they also have a fabulous brunch on weekends. Also if you happen to be out near the west side of Nashville, Porta Via has delicious wood-fired pizzas and house-made gelato. And Cori's Dog House (off of West End near Centennial Park) has awesome hot dogs with tons of different topping options (I recommend the Jersey Breakfast dog with an order of fried pickles).
ReplyDeleteHave fun!! :)
Nashville is amazing. And your outfits are just the best...sigh. I want everything you are wearing. And also the dog in the picture :)

The Other Side of Gray
Glad you made it to Burger Up! It's hands-down my fav Nashville eatery. There's a really fun kitschy western wear store down the road from it called Katy K's.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Nashville! I hope you have so much fun! The Frothy Monkey is my favorite coffee shop. Then if you drive down to Franklin, the downtown area is adorable + there is a Bakery/Coffee shop that I really enjoy called Merridee's Breadbasket. If you happen to go to the Holiday Market at the Nashville Convention center, come by the Light Gives Heat booth-shop and say hi! -Kate
ReplyDeleteYou look great!Love the colors on you :)

The Hutton is great and they also have a really great happy hour deal.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about Nashville is that every neighborhood has its little hang outs. I live in East Nashville and love hitting up the Riverside Pub on the weekends, Eastland Cafe for happy hour during the week, Mitchell's Deli for some damn good bacon. :) It is a great city and I'm so glad you are loving it!
I love your trench and Kim's adorable vintage dress!

Love your style!
ReplyDelete!!! i'm so excited you're in nashville ... it's a great city. i just moved here from detroit 2 months ago.
ReplyDeleteif you want a real "meat & three" (or "bean & three" for the vegetarians) i highly recommend arnold's. it's a family owned southern restaurant ... one of the first places i ever ate here & definitely my favorite! it's set up like a cafeteria & very home-y & welcoming. plus cheap/good/REAL southern food! it's on 8th ave. also near third man records in case you're a white stripes/jack white fan.
also! as a fashionista, you should check out anthropologie accessories! it's a new concept for the company & only 2 of them so far (the other is in maryland) - but the accessories store features higher end brands, online exclusives, & anthropologie in-house brands - you would love it. plus we have a TON of mark downs right now (i work there, haha) sadly it's in the green hills neighborhood/mall which is kind of a ritzy/chaotic part of town, but worth checking out, especially if you go anywhere in hillsboro village...green hills is just down the road!
hillsboro village is a really cute area. that's where the pancake pantry is & some cute indie shops like pangea. also! FIDO.
fido is the cutest coffee shop! they have dog-themed drinks (the milkbone etc) & work with charities supporting animal shelters - i think you'd love it! fido & bonjo java are owned by the same company, both great indie coffee spots.
as for vintage, scope out local honey in the belmont area or the 12 south area ... lots of cute gems over there.
& east nashville is the "hipster" part of town. lots of local mom & pop shops, eateries, & night life. there's a cute little mural in the 5 points area (woodland & 11th ave) that says: "greetings from nashville" in case you need any cute photo backdrops haha. rosepeppers or the wild cow are both AMAZING restaurants over here. & jenny's ice cream -- the weirdest sounding combinations for ice cream, but the BEST tasting ice cream ever! it's near eastland & 16th :)
by the way - i've been a reader & fan of your fashion since the LJ days ... you're such an inspiring gal! enjoy nashville! i hope it warms up a little for the rest of your trip!

Good Buy Girls for vintage, well-priced adorable things.
ReplyDeleteSevant has the best vintage collection I have EVER SEEN.
12th S Taproom has this really great cheese dip with sausage in it. YUMM.
Wild Cow is a great vegan restaurant, or you could try Silly Goose. Their decor is very welcoming and the food is GREAT.
Crema for coffee. There is no other coffee shop. Forget the Frothy Monkey. It's not as good.
UAL (United Apparel Liquidators) is absolutely amazing. In fact, there are only four of them in existence--all in the South, so check it out.
