For months, many of you have been asking about my skin care regimen, and I never felt 100% confident in sharing, since I wasn't entirely happy with it. I was still searching for a full routine complete with anti-aging products, because save for eye cream, I hadn't been using any of that. I know I don't have wrinkles yet, but prevention is key. I'd like to age gracefully, but I'd also like my skin to be as smooth as possible without resorting to scary needles in my face. I digress.
While I was in California, I had a meeting with the people of BeachMint, and while I intended on discussing one of their other three mints (JewelMint, StyleMint, ShoeMint!), I instead left with a new skin routine to try out. I didn't even know that BeautyMint existed, and I will admit that I was completely skeptical about trying a celebrity-endorsed skincare collection (though skin care expert Nerida Joy's involvement made me a little more interested). So, we made a deal. I would only blog about this if I ended up loving it and continuing the process, since 1) they don't want anyone to make fake endorsements and 2) I would never make a fake endorsement, either. I'm writing about it now, because after completing a full month of BeautyMint, I just purchased my second month. And you know that if I'm shelling out a monthly payment for skin care, I must really like it. In conjunction with a few other well-loved products in my arsenal, I've found a daily routine that works really well for me. If you want to read all about that, this is the post you've been waiting for. Keep reading after the jump for a break down of my routine.
Morning Routine:
BeautyMint Essential Cleanser with Clarisonic Mia (if you don't have the Clarisonic, you can use a warm, damp washcloth to gently exfoliate)
BeautyMint Ultra Replenishing Serum with Marine Collagen on face and neck (anti-aging and hydrating)
BeautyMint Renewing Moisturizer on face and neck
Boscia Intensive Eye Treatment (note: I recently switched to this and really like it, so far)
Night Routine:
Urban Decay Melt Down Makeup Remover
BeautyMint Essential Cleanser with Clarisonic Mia
BeautyMint Ultra Replenishing Serum on face and neck (anti-aging and hydrating)
BeautyMint Sculpting Treatment with Peptides (anti-aging)
BeautyMint Renewing Moisturizer on face and neck
Boscia Intensive Eye Treatment
I'm using the anti-aging as a preventative method, so I can't say whether or not it works until I'm more into the aging process. However, here is what I like about the products and the program:
- They are firming but moisturizing, so your skin doesn't feel tight. I was sure I would run out of moisturizer (I'm a moisturizer junkie) before the month ended, but in conjunction with the other products, you only need a little at a time.
- Overall, they seem very gentle. I have pretty sensitive skin and haven't had any issues. My skin looks and feels a lot healthier and smoother.
- It gives me a regimen to follow, which I desperately need or I get off track. I keep them all in my bathroom cabinet in the order which I use them.
- You can skip a month free of charge, if you don't need the products. I still have some left from my first month, so after my second month of products, I will probably be able to skip the third month and save some money.
Here's what I wish was different:
- I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong and missing this feature, but I wish they had an option to buy individual products in addition to the personalized package. I would like to try their eye cream, and if I run out of just one of the products, I'd like to be able to replenish without having to get all of them. I'm hoping this will change in the future!
This is already a pretty long post, so I'll go into more detail about everything skin care in a future post, as well as document some other skin tricks I have up my sleeve. In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments or contact me via twitter.

P.S. Please keep in mind that what works for me may not work for you, and you can find out what BeautyMint routine is suggested for you through their personalized skin care consultation. If you have major skin issues, I suggest seeking the advice of a doctor before that of a blogger - I am just telling you my personal routine, in case you want to give it a shot.

I love my Clarisonic. But if I use it twice a day my skin gets way too dry and flakey. Glad you found products you like! You have amazing skin!
ReplyDeleteI need a regimen too. Something with anti-aging. I've tried a few things but I still even at this age get breakouts. Everytime I try some kind of moisturizer my skin breaks out. I'll have to see if they have products that address this....
ReplyDeleteI heard of BeautyMint and was very skeptical about it. So glad to have read your review. I think I'd like to try it. :) Your skin is so beautiful by the way!

How do you like the UD makeup remover? I currently use drugstore makeup remover and I'm less than pleased. I use MAC fluidline and find that a lot of over-the-counter removers make a huge mess out of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try it, especially with the discount! It is so expensive & time consuming to find the right skin care. I like that you can skip months & cancel at anytime. Thanks for the review! You have BEAUTIFUL skin, btw. :)

I'm a big fan of urban decay makeup as well, so i'm glad that you like the makeup remover, I was thinking of getting it myself!

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this! I am loving my current routine, but am always looking for new tips and tricks :-) You have truly gorgeous skin, so I love hearing what you have to say.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you have such beautiful skin.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited! I've been looking for a regimen that is of a higher quality than I have now, but I haven't had any legitimate recommendations (other than commercials and endorsements I don't really trust.)
ReplyDeleteI just did my personal consultation and with the help of your discount, ordered my first 4-product kit! (Happy birthday to me!)
Thanks, Keiko!
I cannot live without my clarisonic brush. Love it.

ReplyDeleteHi Keiko!,
ReplyDeleteI had a question that I cant seem to find the answer for on beautymint's website. Are you supposed to apply the cleanser to a wet/damp face or just apply it to a dry face? The directions say to apply to face and remove with warm wet wash cloth but it doesn't clarify if your face should be wet also. What do you do? Thanks!
Kiara: I apply the cleanser to a damp face:)
ReplyDeleteI hope BeautyMint works for those of you who ordered it! I would love to hear your feedback - especially if you end up with the products I haven't gotten to try!
