Fourth of July

For the fourth of July, Bobby, Miku, and I drove down to Virginia to surprise my friend John on his birthday. John has to share his birthday with The United States of America, and also my friend Peter, so there's a lot of competition there. We decided to combine the two and celebrate John's birthday and the independence of the USA with a little cookout and a birthday cake. Plus, John and his wife, my best friend Lauren, just had their baby on Cinco de Mayo (noticing a pattern here?), and this was my first time meeting him. All in all, it was the perfect timing for a road trip. After the initial surprise birthday greeting, my attention went straight to little Connor.

I'm so happy that two of my best friends in the world got married and had a beautiful little baby. What could be better?
