Florida Heat and Seasonal Fakery

Outfit Details:
Rebecca Taylor blouse (c/o)
Free People shorts
Coach Alexa sunglasses (c/o)
Coach Legacy Haley Satchel

This is as pulled together as I could possibly look in South Florida's intensely humid, hot hot heat. It's kind of funny to think back to my days as an actual resident. Though the temperatures were completely inappropriate for seasonal dressing, I somehow managed to sneak in layers and boots...a lot. I don't know what to tell you, except that I never liked dressing for warm weather, and often stayed indoors with central air. Seriously, half of my Myspace and LiveJournal photos involved some sort of over the knee boot or a jacket, or both. I guess when you don't have seasons, you have to make believe.

  7. I used to live in South Florida and I did the exact same thing! I longed for the cold and to be able to wear sweaters and scarves. I always felt so wilted/frizzy/sticky by the heat in Florida. I finally changed my latitude and I'm much happier for it.

  15. This is so fresh and pretty! When the temperature hits either extreme in Toronto I lose all sense of style. Although, in the humidity I'm all about flowy maxi dresses, which are at least popular enough now that there are plenty of cute ones to be found.

  17. I completely understand! Born & raised in ATL & it's not called "hot'lanta" for nothing. The humidity makes the clothes stick to you but still I would wear denim & leather all summer for the sake of fashion.
