I know I just proclaimed my newly discovered love for summer, but I'm already looking forward to
dressing for fall. So much so that I’ll be joining Brooklyn Blonde, My Style Pill and
Be Chic Mag to co-host an exclusive fall fashion event at T.J.Maxx! I headed into T.J.Maxx recently to take a look at all of the fall items they have to offer, and picked up a few key pieces for the start it the season.I
love to layer, and the majority of my wardrobe is geared toward that
notion. In my eyes, everything is more interesting with varied textures,
colors, and proportions - and layering gives you so many options for
styling pieces in completely different ways. What I'm looking forward to
the most is sweater weather: give me an oversized sweater and I will
wear it until it unravels. I combined my love of layering and large
sweaters for this casualensemble fromT.J.Maxx,
balancing the loose-fitting, chunky knit with a button up blouse and
slim fitting jeans. A pair of high heels, bright swing bag, and bold red
lips dress it up just a bit, but a pair of streamlined flats or oxfords
would be another great option for extra comfort.
Want to start building your fall wardrobe and find some of the best designer trends? You can win
attendance to an in-store shopping event at T.J.Maxx on September 12th with my friends and me - and you'll
get a $100 gift card to get you started, as well as transportation to and from the event!
To enter, share the fall trend you are most excited about by commenting below on this post - or you
can enter through my twitter, facebook, or instagram by tagging @keikolynn and @tjmaxx with the hashtag
#MaxxStyleScout.
I will be choosing five winners, which will be announced on Tuesday, September 10th.
Note:
You can submit your entries on multiple social media channels for additional opportunities to win (that
means you have up to four entries). To be eligible to win, readers must live within a 2 hour radius of
Manhattan and be available on the morning of Thursday, September 12th for the exclusive, in-store
event.
this! My staple fashion piece is a leather jacket and a form fitting blazer. I'm pregnant right now so I won't be able to wear them but I'm due in November so it will happen! Fall is just sort of happening a little later for me than the rest of the world..
I always look forward to layering my button up shirts with sweaters on top and adding either denim or leather jackets over my summer dresses with tights and boots.
Hi Keiko! I have that same sweater! It's a great fall piece! I just got a new pair of lace up ankle high boots I know I will be wearing a lot. But more than anything I'm looking forward to my fall travels that will take me to new thrift shops and vintage stores so I can make my own fall trends.
Even though I live in California, I travel back east and far east (China) so I have great excuses for buying fall clothes even if the weather isn't here yet! This year I'm finally Splurging on an amazing leather jacket, and I can't wait to get out my favorite hats.
I really want to rock leather jackets layered on cute oversized sweaters! I always have a hard time finding a big cozy sweater that still looks chic. I'd love to win!
really need to step up my game in the jeans-dept. cant wait to pair with dark pumps and button-downs! i love fall weather in NYC! michelle_cammarota@yahoo.com @mishcam
Corduroy Skinnies, Boots, Layered Sweaters over Collared Shirts with Huge Statement Necklaces. Okay maybe I just can't wait 'til it gets cold enough for me to actually wear this. :o)
I'm most excited about wearing a-line dresses, chunky sweaters, scarves, and cable knit socks. All of which look swell together. Pair them with boots either thigh, knee or ankle and you're as cute as a button. I love how easy it is to look great as well as having the ability of being comfortable in fall.
Super excited to get my cable knit socks and chunky sweaters out. Deft can't wait to start layering with my skirts and dresses too. Love love love fall, so I'm just stoked over all ! ! ! !
Keiko! I'm a long-time reader of your blog! You and Zooey Deschanel are my fashion inspirations and I would love to hang with you at TJ Maxx! I'm also really looking forward to autumn and can't wait to don vintage-inspired dresses with trench coats and thin sweaters, as well as tight jeans and over-sized sweaters! Neutrals, especially browns and greys, with pops of color is my main game! Also, so many shades of red lipstick. Yay fall!
Count me in! TJMaxx is one of my absolute favorite places to shop and I would be over the moon to shop there with you! While I am a summer girl in my heart, I also have an outwear addiction. Coats, jackets, blazers, in all sizes and fabrics... I'd love to add a new leather jacket to my closet this fall! Thanks for the giveaway! Lydia Chic on the Cheap
While I usually shy away from things that add too much sheen to my bottom half, I'm thinking I will try the leather trend for the fall by puchasing a pair of.......leather pants!!! Crazy I know!!! Also, from what I've been seeing emerald green is a big trend for fall. Looking foward to investing in some comfy sweaters in that shade and maybe a dress too.
Right now, all I want in life is to swathe myself in the softest plaid flannel shirts and pair them with straight-leg jeans and Led Zeppelin tees. I've always been a skirts girl so I don't know where that desire is coming from - but I intend to act on it!
Hi Keiko!!! I love Fall to layer and wear boots!!! I am a big time fan of you and TJ Maxx 99% of my clothes are from TJ's and if you pick me you will make my year cause the 12th is my birthday!!! I am also a new blogger and just the though of being able to meet you, Christine and Helena will make me really Happy!!! I am fan of all of you :)
Hi Keiko, I'm most excited to wear skirts and shorts with tights! I love wearing pattern stockings and tights and making the outfit whole with a chunky sweater and booties!

i can't wait to start wearing LAYERS. and tall boots! fall has so many more options when it comes to styling one's wardrobe. it'd be amazing to hang with you! *fingers crossed* roxy [dot] rodriguez [at] gmail [dot] com
I am most looking forward to burgundy/wine/oxblood/whatever you want to call it everything! Especially dark lips- I think I'll be wearing lots of dark lipstick this fall!
I agree with you about the opportunities in dressing for Fall-combining all the corduroy, the cableknits, velvet, wool, tweed, mmmm!!! I'd have to say the fall is all about the accessories-wool berets, chunky knit scarfs, herringbone tights/knee high socks, a good ankle boot, ladylike vintage gloves and a short cape. Summer is full of cute clothes, but sometimes its hard to wear a ton without sweating to death, therefore for me, Fall is all about PILING ON THE GOODNESSS, ALL IN THE SAME OUTFIT. Accessories are also usually the smallest monetary investment, reducing the guilt you might be feeling after you go on a spree and buy ALL THE CUTE FALL THINGS. Fall is definitely my favorite season to dress for! <3 Love your blog, have a great weekend!
Slouchy pants! I just purchased a green pair with a high waist and tight ankle. I'm also really interested in wearing houndstooth, but want to find the perfect piece that isn't too overbearing.
Nothing makes me happier than tall boots. Tall boots with leggings and an oversized sweater; tall boots with skinny jeans; tall boots with a mini skirt and funky tights. Boots make the world go round and and a good fall outfit a great one.
"film noir" trend! I am looking forward to wearing ladylike pieces in rich colors as mulberry, greys, and forest green. I want to wear pencil skirts, faux fur stoles, lace, ruffles in luxurious fabrics such as silk, lace and faux fur. It will totally go with my romantic style!
I'm very excited about mixing textures. Leather and corduroy with lace and chiffon and wool. I'm also excited about returning to oxblood from last year and working in some forest green. Then rounding out my pallet with blacks, creams, grays, navys and hits of red.
Hi keiko, every one find dressing for summer a challenge.Hot weather, unlike cooler temperatures, necessitates that we do more with less.so summer will soon be upon us....u may be want to see salonfurnish
I'm most looking forward to leather, leather and more leather! Plus tons of laying.

I have to pick one trend? I really love all the items coming out in the oxblood color... in fact, I would love a pair of pair of oxfords in oxblood!
ReplyDeleteBut I also love the deep cobalt color, especially in really structured pencil skirts.
And I wouldn't mind a pair of black & white pants either!
I'm loving the wine trend--it's not as basic as black but just as sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to all the lovely forest greens - I have my eye on a tuxedo jacket in the color!
