Summer Rose

Outfit Details:
ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Dress in Rose Print
Nine West "Tasha" ankle strap sandals
Karen Walker "Anytime" sunglasses
rings from local boutique and Mr. Kate
NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in "San Paulo"
Papillionaire Sommer bicycle

I haven't been riding my bicycle nearly enough, this summer, so I'm taking advantage of all the remaining good weather and taking Maisy out as much as possible. For those of you wondering how I ride a bike in a dress, the answer is shorts. I almost always wear stretchy shorts underneath my dresses, even when I'm not riding a bicycle. Walking over the subway grates will teach you to always be prepared. I know firsthand that unfortunately, not all Marilyn moments are quite so glamorous!

  7. That's a great tip about the shorts - not only good for subways, also good for a particularly windy place... or, as it's otherwise known, the UK!!

  16. What shorts do you wear? I'm also a bike riding dress wearer. There's one grate in Philly that blows air hard and I have shown my butt to way too many tourists that way.

    1. I used to make little hot pants out of scrap fabric, but then I realized that yoga shorts are perfect because they can be worn high waisted and not show a waistband.
